Despite the extraordinary challenges in Latakia and Tartous, The White Helmets remains steadfast in its commitment to humanitarian work. Since Sunday, March 9, the organization has reinforced its operations by deploying additional emergency, firefighting, and medical teams to enhance the response and support civilians in these critical times.

We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to saving lives and assisting communities with neutrality and without discrimination. We will continue exploring every possible avenue to support Syrians, alleviate their suffering, and uphold the hope that fuels our work.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of innocent civilian victims and express our solidarity with those affected in conflict areas. We emphasize the need to uphold human rights and demand accountability for all crimes committed against Syrians over the past 14 years—including killings, torture, forced displacement, and starvation—culminating in the recent atrocities in Latakia and Tartous.

At this critical moment, The White Helmets strongly condemns the attacks and violations targeting both civilians and security forces. We welcome the Syrian government's decision to establish an independent national committee to investigate and uncover the truth about the recent events on the Syrian coast. We urge the implementation of transitional justice mechanisms, as they are essential for achieving sustainable peace in Syria.
