Annual Report 2024

Throughout 2024, White Helmets volunteers continued to carry out their humanitarian missions in northwest Syria despite increasing security and logistical challenges. They remained committed to the principles of humanity, solidarity, and impartiality. The teams conducted diverse humanitarian operations, including search and rescue, health services, firefighting, evacuations, unexploded ordnance (UXO) removal, awareness campaigns, and community resilience. These efforts coincided with the continued suffering of civilians in overcrowded communities and camps, exacerbated by dwindling resources, deteriorating infrastructure, and limited humanitarian aid. Despite these challenges, the White Helmets teams continued to provide essential services to millions of people, contributing to saving lives and improving living conditions. This annual report highlights the teams' achievements during the year, documenting their response activities, service enhancements, and risk mitigation efforts through data and statistics reflecting the scope of fieldwork and the impact of these efforts on civilians' lives
